First Steps and Hague Accreditation Standards
The First Steps for Strengthening Adoptive Families DVD study program can help your agency comply with Hague Accreditation Standards.
Hague standards require:
- Initial training for social service personnel and parents.
- Continuing training for social service personnel.
First Steps provides psycho-educational training on attachment, attunement, and regulation in the context of the adoptive relationship. This training will fulfill several of the foundational standards required by Hague Accreditation Standards.
The training can be done individually (self-paced) or in a group format. Certificates of completion are available to document the training.
The Hague Accreditation sub-section standards that First Steps can help with include the following:
- 96.38(b)
- 96.38(c)
- 96.48(b)
- 96.48(d)
